Our charity colouring-in book Lockdown Legends is selling fast and has already raised over £5k for the local NHS Hospitals.

Within less than 2 weeks of launch these keepsake books have almost sold out and we’re getting them reprinted to keep up with the demand. Schools are using them for keyworkers’ children, parents are using them to home school and the NHS are using them for the wellbeing of their nurses.

It’s great to see companies being adaptable and agile, using their skills to support each other and the NHS. I did think twice as to whether I should keep away from the kids!

A fantastic initiative.
ANDY STREET, WEST MIDLANDS MAYOR

And most recently local legend Mike Skinner from The Streets and Claudia Winkleman have requested a copy of the colouring-in book, so the word is spreading!

These versatile books are helping people of all ages cope with the stress, anxiety and boredom of lockdown. With Mental Health Awareness Week on the horizon, these books are proving to be both inspirational and therapeutic.

Created by local illustrator Sabina Gran and lifelong friend and PLOTT MD Anna, the limited edition book is full of our favourite COVID-19 heroes. From our NHS angels to Captain Tom Moore, Anna and Sabina have carefully selected those who have stood-up to make a difference, or to those who have given us a welcome distraction, such as Joe Exotic!

We are thrilled at how well they are selling and being used by so many ages groups for so many reasons, it really is very humbling.
ANNA PLOTNEK, PLOTT MD AND LOCKDOWN LEGENDS CO-CREATOR

Art supplier, Cass Art, have also donated 400 sets of pencils to the cause and these have been distributed to the local hospitals to be used in the wellbeing hubs to help hospital staff unwind and relax during shifts.

Art and creativity has helped so many of our friends, families and children navigate the challenge of this time. We’re delighted to be part of this fantastic project and it’s an honour to give back to our incredible Frontline workers in any way that we can.
MARK CASS, CASS ART CEO & FOUNDER

Every penny raised from the sale of the Lockdown Legends colouring-in book will go to University Hospitals Birmingham Charity’s NHS ‘Superheroes Fund’, which provides support for frontline workers at the Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Solihull and Good Hope hospitals, along with the new temporary Nightingale hospital.

The book costs £10 + £2.95 postage and is available to buy via PLOTT or through the Hospital Charity website. Or they can be picked up from Anna’s house in Sutton Coldfield.

We are so pleased to be a part of this project, and are delighted to be using them in our Wellbeing Hubs across the four hospitals to help our staff unwind and relax. The money raised from the colouring books will go directly towards supporting out frontline staff who are working tirelessly to support our patients and fight the battle against COVID-19.
